APAR status

Error description

  • SCENARIO:
    1) Start CATIA.
    2) Open CATPart provided in the Generative Shape
    Design workbench.
    3) Holding the Ctrl key down, select all the planes
    in Geometric Set.1 in chronological order (1, 2, 3,
    4, 5, 6).
    4) Select Intersection icon.
    5) In Intersection definition panel, First element
    should have 6 elements.
    6) Select multi-selection icon for First element,
    select Plane.2,hold Shift key down, then select
    Plane.6. All planes should highlight except Plane.1.
    7) Select Remove. Verify that all planes except
    Plane.1 are removed.
    8) Close the First Elements window - only Plane.1 is
    in the input window.
    9) Select inside Second element input area, select
    line, Click OK to create intersection.
    .
    OBSERVATION:
    A multi-output is displayed in the specification tree
    and multiple points exist in 3D. The only point that
    was removed was the first point selected (of
    plane2).

Local fix

Problem summary

  • GSD: Multi-Select Remove does not remove the planes from
    the list in Intersect Dialog Box.
    SCENARIO:

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
    5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R19SP04.

    INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
    In Generative Shape Design workbench, Multi-
    Select Remove does not remove the planes from
    the list in Intersection Dialog Box. Intersection of
    all the selected planes (including the removed
    ones) was created in Output.
    .
    CORRECTION EXPLANATION:
    Due to changes made in algorithm, now CATPart is
    updated accordingly, by removing selected
    features.
    .
