Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
    CATIA
    INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
Update cycle error is generated after projection
done on a deactivated Remove operation.
    .
    RESTRICTION EXPLANATION:
Update cycles must be detected because they are
often design errors. They have to be detected and
displayed in the error panel, so that user could
    correct them.
    .
Remove is a modification operation therefore its
deactivation is done in Copy mode. When
deactivated, the result of the feature is identical to
its main input and thus can be selected and
    highlighted.
When the projection is created on any of the
sketches which are input for the remove operation,
it is selected on the result of Remove and hence
Remove becomes parent of the edited Sketch.
Thus Remove becomes parent of the Body which is
used for the Remove operation i.e. Remove has
become child of its own modification.
    .
    BY-PASS
Select the geometry of the Sketch used for
creating the Pad to create the projection instead of
    the geometry from Pad
    .
