  Scenario:
  .
  1. Start CATIA
  2. Open the "Problem01_R18_6-2.CATPart" file.
  .
  (WB : 2D Layout for 3D Design)
  3. Please maximize Layout Window.
  4. Click "Customize View Parameters" icon.
  .
  => "View Mode Customization" panel is displayed.
  .
  5. Activate the following item in this panel.
  - Edges and points
  - Half visible smooth edges
  - No vertices
  - Outlines
  - Shading
  - Gouraud
  - Hidden edges and points
  - Dynamic hidden line removal
  6. Click OK button.
  7. Please "Zoom In" a central part of yellow
  surface.
  .
  Please confirm that a Hidden edge is represented
  correctly.
  8. Change
  the "Tools/Options/General/Display/Performance/
  3D Accuracy" to "Fixed: 0.02". And then click OK
  button.
  9. Please investigate a hidden edge carefully.
  You will understand that the representation of some
  Hidden edges is not correct. This is a problem.
  (Some Hidden Edges are represented by a solid
  line.)

  Incident Diagnosis
  CATIA cannot represent some hidden
  edges correctly when accuracy option is
  changed to fixed= 0.02.
  .
  .
  Development request justification:
  The hidden edges which are not correct are
  in fact Outlines. The outlines builder
  algorithm creates a succession of small
  edges; this behavior is intensified by the
  increase of the accuracy.
  .
  In the matter of fact, CATIA can not
  correctly display dotted-lines because those
  lines become too small when accuracy is
  changed to value 0.02. Modifying the
  outlines builder algorithm to create bigger
  lines requires a real development and
  cannot be done in an existing functionality.
  In order to implement this correction,
  development team will need a close study
  to perform and this can only be handled by
  ERD after studying the impacts on other
  commands and workbenches.
