Error description

  • Vista security feature "UAC" ON-  help and
    companion are not working as expected
    .
    Scenario
    1) Set the UAC (User Account Control) to enable on
    windows Vista OS.
    2) Launch CATIA
    3) Click on Help / CATIA User Companion
    => Companion doesn't load toolbar, so no course
    can be selected /loaded => This is the Problem
    4) Click on Help / CATIA V5 Help
    =>Two internal explorer opened, one with dummy
    top toolbar alone, otherone shows the real content
    => This is the problem
    Expected result
    Companion and Documentation should open
    correctly with UAC=enabled
    .

    R18 Companion is not yet supported in Windows
    Vista.
    Answer and By-Pass
    User can use the companion on Vista with UAC
    switched off.
