  • DMUSPA:"MEASURE BETWEEN" DOES NOT
    MEASURE DISTANCE FROM THE CURVE.
    .
    SCENARIO:
    1. Start CATIA V5R18SP2.
    2. Open the file : "Test.CATPart".
    3. Go to "Generative Shape Design".
    4. Click "Intersection" icon.
    5. Intersection Definition" dialog box is displayed.
    6. Select "Extrude.2".Select "Plane.1".
    7. Click "OK".
    8. Intersect.1" is created.
    9. Click "Extrude.2" on the tree by MB3.
    10.Select "Hide/Show" by context menu.
    11.Extrude.2" disappears.
    12.Click "Working supports" on the tree by MB3.
    13.Select "Hide/Show" by context menu.
    14. Expand "Working supports" on the
    tree."Working support.1" is displayed on the tree.
    15. Click "Normal View" icon.
    16. Select "Working support.1" on the tree.
    17. Observe that "Intersect.1" is not an arc.
    18. Click "Measure Between" icon.
    19."Measure Between" dialog box is displayed.
    20. Select "Approximate" as "Calculation
    mode:".This is key point.
    21. Select "Intersect.1" on the geometry area. (The
    mark of cursor is a curve.)
    22. Select "Extrude.1" on the geometry area.
    23."Measure Between" does not measure distance
    from the form of "Intersect.1"
    24. This is the problem.

    RESULT:
    - "Measure Between" does not measure distance
    from the form of curve although curve is not an
    arc.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    - "Measure Between" should measure distance
    from the form of curve if curve is not an arc.

    5 RELEASE 19 GA LEVEL.
    Incident Diagnosis:
    DMUSPA:'MEASURE BETWEEN' DOES NOT
    MEASURE DISTANCE FROM THE CURVE.

    Correction Explanation:
    This problem has been fixed such a way that,
    During Approx measure, "Measure Between"
    should measure distance from the form of curve if
    curve is not an arc.
    .
