HD70425: ELECTRICAL (EHI) / THE POINT SHOULD NOT BE CREATED IN THE ELECR OUTEBODY WHEN SELECTING A VERTEX OF A LINE AS ROUTING OBJECT OF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Electrical (EHI) / The point should not be created in
  the ElecRouteBody when selecting a vertex of a
  line as Routing Object of Branchable
  .
  Scenario:
  1. Open
  the "POINT_CREATED_IN_ELECBODY.CATProduct"
  2. Change workbench to "Electrical Harness
  Assembly" and select the "Multi-branchable
  document" command.
  3. Select the "Route Definition" form the "Branch
  Definition" dialog box.
  4. Click "More" button in the "Route Definition" and
  set "Manual = 0mm"
  5. Select the "PT3". And select the "CLIP 1".
  6. Click "OK" in the "Route Definition" dialog box
  and click "OK" in the "Branch Definition " Dialog
  box.
  Points (Point.7 and Prjection.1) are created in the
  Geometrical set.
  7. Click on the "Line" icon.
  8. Create a line :Point-Point tye Select
  the "Point.7", "Project.1" and End =20mm (Point.7
  and Projection.1 are created at step6)
  9. Select Branchable.1 created at step6 and click
  on the "Multi-branchable document " icon.
  10. Select the "Routing Definition" in the "Branch
  Definition" dialog box.
  11. Select "Clip.1" in the "Route Definition",
  Select "Add after", Click on the "More" button and
  set "Manual =0".
  12. Push "Ctrl" key and select the vertex of the
  line. Points (Point.9) are created in the Geometrical
  set.
  13. Select the "Point.9" in the "Route Definition"
  and click on the "Remove" button. (delete the point
  created at step12)
  14. Select the vertex of the line without
  pushing "Ctrl" key.
  15. Click "OK" in the "Route Definition" dialog box
  and click "OK" in the "Branch Definition " Dialog
  box.

  Problem: The point(Point.11) is created in the
  ElecRouteBody
  .
  Expected Result: The point should be created in the
  Geometrical set when selecting a vertex of a line
  as Routing Object of Branchable.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 19 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R18SP04 AND ON V5R17SP08.
  .
  KEY INFORMATION:
  1) Main Scenario is NOT Changed.
  2) Point is still created under ElecRouteBody.
  .
  Main Problem : The branchable becomes error
  after deleting Bundle which have curve in the
  ElecRouteBody.
  A Solution for this problem has been provided.
  .
  MAIN correction:
  Correction Explanation: When the first branchable
  is deleted the ElecRouteBody also gets deleted. The
  correction has been provided to move such a point
  in GeometricalSet of the MBB.
