HD69096: ERROR IN EXCEL. SMARTEAM ICON IN CLIP BOARD.

Error description

• Error in Excel. SmarTeam icon in clip board.
  This issue was discovered by using a customer
  application. That
  application is used to reserve article numbers and
  creates BOM lists
  of their products (but without any integration to
  CAD application).
  After installing SmarTeam Editor with MS Office and
  Catia integration
  (SDE configuration) they got a problem with
  exporting data to Excel.
  The BOM structure is supposed to be exported from
  the customer
  application into an excel sheet but instead of the
  BOM they get some
  error messages and in the excel file the SmarTeam
  tree icon is
  inserted. See screen dump in attached document.
  If one look in the
  MS Office clip board the data from the BOM
  application is exported
  but of some reason the SmarTeam icon is pasted in
  the excel instead
  of that data.
  The problem is independent of if the integration is
  activated or not.

  Further analyses on this matter gave an interesting
  way to get almost the same behaviour as with
  ItemMaster. The result depend on if SmarTeam are
  installed and with which version of it
  Without SmarTeam:
  1 Take a print screen on the computer (all office
  tools are closed)
  2 Open word or excel and past with "ctrl-v" => the
  screen dump is inserted in the document.
  3 Open word or excel
  4 Take a new print screen
  5 Past in the opened document => the screen
  dump is inserted in the document
  With SmarTeam R16:
  1 Take a print screen on the computer (all office
  tools are closed)
  2 Open word or excel an past with "ctrl-v" =>
  nothing is inserted in the document.
  3 Open word or excel
  4 Take a new print screen
  5 Past in the opened document => the screen
  dump is inserted in the document
  With SmarTeam R17
  1 Take a print screen on the computer (all office
  tools are closed)
  2 Open word or excel an past with "ctrl-v" => the
  SmarTeam tree icon is inserted in the document.
  3 Open word or excel
  4 Take a new print screen
