  • ABSTRACT:
    DMUKIN:THE POSITION OF CATPARTS IS NOT
    RESET BY "RESET POSITIONS" COMMAND AFTER
    KINEMATIC SIMULATION.(HF12)
    .
    SCENARIO:
    1. Launch CATIA V5R17SP6HF12
    2. Open the file "TEST.CATProduct"
    3. Go to "DMU Kinematics" w/b.
    4. Select Tools/Macro/Macros.. and then click
    on "Select" icon, select the "TEST.catvbs" from file
    and then click on "Run" icon.
    5. A window is displayed "Check Parts Origin
    Coordinates"
    6. Click on the "OK" button
    7. Excel sheet is created.
    8. Please confirm the all values are "0".
    9. Click on the "Update Position" icon.
    10.The "Update Mechanism" dialog box appears.
    11.Click on the "OK" button.
    12.Click on the "Reset Positions" icon.
    13.The "Reset Mechanism" dialog box appears.
    14.Select the "Reset the selected mechanism to the
    original state (at product load)".
    15.Click on the "OK" button.
    16.Select Tools/Macro/Macros.. and then click
    on "Select" icon, select the "TEST.catvbs" from file
    and then click on "Run" icon.
    17.Excel sheet is created.
    .
    RESULT:
    The position and angle of the CATPart is not reset.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The position of the CATPart should be reset by
    Reset Positions command.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
    5 RELEASE 19 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R18SP03 & V5R17SP08.
