Error description

  • DOCUMENTATION: ERROR RANGE OF VALUDE
    BETWEEN DESIGN & VISUALIZATION MODE
    .
THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED ON V5R17 GA.
THE PROBLEM IS REPRODUCIBLE ON CXR19 (10-
    22-2007).
    .
    OS:
    Reported OS: WIN XP
    Tested OS: WIN XP SP2
    .
    SCENARIO:
Please refer to the article on the following section
    in online documentation.
    1. Go to Assembly Design->User Tasks->Display
    the Assembly Mass Properties
Note that values can be different due that
geometry is not exact in Visualization mode, and
has been approximated. A message is displayed in
    this case
    2. Though the mentioned-above article is inserted
    in online documentation,
the following information is not inserted Please
    insert the following information
    into online documentation.
    .
    PROBLEM:
Information in online documentation is not
    adequate.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
This information should be included in online
    documentation.
    1. Volume:
1-1. Error range of values between design mode
    and visualization mode.
1-2. If there is any factor which provides any
influence to error range of values, please tell me
that. (For example, when xx includes, error range
    of values also
    includes.)
    2. Mass
2-1. Error range of values between design mode
    and visualization mode.
2-2. If there is any factor which provides any
influence to error range of values, please tell me
that. (For example, when xx includes, error range
    of values also
    includes.)
    3. Surface
3-1. Error range of values between design mode
    and visualization mode.
3-2. If there is any factor which provides any
influence to error range of values, please tell me
that. (For example, when xx includes, error range
    of values also
    includes.)
    4. Inertia center
4-1. Error range of values between design mode
    and visualization mode.
4-2. If there is any factor which provides any
influence to error range of values, please tell me
that. (For example, when xx includes, error range
    of values also
    includes.)
    5. Inertia matrix
5-1. Error range of values between design mode
    and visualization mode.
5-2. If there is any factor which provides any
influence to error range of values, please tell me
that. (For example, when xx includs, error range of
    values also
    includes.)

Problem conclusion

  • THIS MODIFICATION WILL BE INCLUDED IN
    CATIA DOCUMENTATION DELIVERED WITH
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 19.
    Additional Information:
    The documentation has been updated
regarding error range in properties between
    design and visulization mode.
    Modified Documentation:
    Assembly Design/User Tasks/
    Displaying the Assembly Mass Properties
The smaller the sag (3D Accuracy) is, the
smaller will be the error range between the
results in Visualization mode and in Design
    mode.
