• GSD: SPLIT/ UPDATE ERROR IN SPLITTING
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1. Open the "Part. CATPart" file. (WB : GSD)
  2. Click "Split" icon. "Split Definition" panel is
  displayed.
  3. Select surface "A" as "Element to cut."
  4. Select surface "B" as "Cutting elements."
  5. "Update Error" panel is displayed.
  .
  PROBLEM:
  Update Error - Split or Trim operator: The splitting
  or trimming bodies defines areas
  for which the operator cannot decide whether they
  must be kept or not.
  Modify the input bodies or the input used to
  generate them.

• INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  When two surfaces are splitted then it gives
  the update error
  .
  Correct Application:
  The surfaces for which the split is created
  are tangent to each other at some places.
  Also some gap exsists between surfaces.
  However for correct result avoid tangency
  between surfaces & reome the gap between
  the surfaces.
