Error description

  • The CATIA V5 E&S Analyze/Design Validation
Command returns an d error on the Validation
    Check
    Scenario:
Send the PRC/GCO to CATIA V5
Create a WP with a Piping System
Place some Straight Pipes with no Bends
Execute in the Piping WB Analyze / Design
    Validation
    Command
    Select the WP
The Validation Check: Bending Bend angle less
    than
minimum allowed produces a report with an error
    on the
Straight Pipe not applicable to this Rule.
On the Violation Report you getting on your
    Straight Pipes on
the Validation Check: Bending Bend angle less than
    minimum allowed
DSA was able to reproduce the problem in the R17
    Level. The
problem exists with part type Pipe with bends when
    only ONE
    segment exists.
For Part type Pipe the problem doesn t exist.
DSA needs to update the Rule so when the Design
    Validation
Tool is checking for bend angle criteria or any bend
    criteria, it
needs to make sure that the pipe consists of more
    than one
segment (more than 2 nodes) and make sure that
    there is a
    bend.
