Error description

  • FEAT RECOGNITION: GEOMETRICAL SET IS MADE
    IN THE SOLID BODY.
    .
    SETTINGS:
    1) Select "Tools" > "Options" by menu
bar. "Option" dialog box is displayed.
    2) Select "Infrastructure / Part Infrastructure / Part
    Document tab" on the tree.
    3) Non-Activate the "Hybrid Design / Enable hybrid
design inside part bodies and bodies".
    4) Click "OK".
    .
    SCENARIO:
    0) Start CATIA.
    1) Open the file: "mmm.CATPart".
    Workbench: "Product Data Filtering".
    2) Click "Part to Part" command. "Part to Part"
    dialog box is displayed.
    3) Non-Active All option and Click "OK" button in
    dialog box. "Part1_AllCATPart" is created.
Geometrical Set will be made to the subordinate of
    Body. This is Problem.

Comments

  • Incident Diagnosis:
GEOMETRICAL SET IS MADE IN THE SOLID BODY
    AFTER FILTERING.
    .
    Correct Application:
There is no problem to insert a Geometrical Set in
a Body provided its a Non Hybrid body. The only
constraint mentioned in the documentation is the
following:""You cannot create a geometrical set
within an ordered geometrical set and vice
versa."". The current behaviour is consistent with
the CATIA geometric model specification. The initial
CATPart already contained a Body with surfaces
inside (Extrude through Add), so the result is also
    consistent with the initial data.
    .
    Documentation Reference:
Part Design / User Tasks / Associating Bodies /
    Managing Geometrical sets:
You cannot create a geometrical set within an
ordered geometrical set and vice versa.
