• FSS: BREAK SURFACE: NO OPTION TO SELECT
  THE SIDE TO KEEP FOR PARTICULAR CATPART
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1) Start CATIA.
  2) Open CR141632.CATPart
  3) Start the FreeStyle Workbench (under Shape)
  4) Select the "Break Curve or Surface" tool
  (Operations toolbar.)
  5) On the Break dialogue box, use the following
  settings:
  Break Type: Surface
  Elements: Surface 1
  Limitation: Isoparameter 1
  Trim Type: Surface
  Order: Keep Order is active.
  6) Select Apply.
  .
  OBSERVATION:
  The result is the surface is broken, but the user
  does not have the capability to choose which side
  of the surface is kept and which side is removed.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R17SP05.
  .
  Incident Diagnosis:
  New algorithm for the selection of the relimited
  surface was not giving correct results for the
  particular part.
  .
  Correction Explanation:
  Algorithm modified to get correct results.
  Now we get the option to select the part to be kept.
  .
