ASD: ELEMENTS OF EXTERNAL REFERENCE ARE NOT CHANGED TO ACTIVATION IN VISU MODE. . SETTINGS: 1) Select "Tools" > "Options" by menu bar. "Option" dialog box is displayed. 2) Select "Product Structure" on the tree. 3) Select "Cache Management" tab. 4) Activate the "Work with the cache system". 5) Click "OK". 6) Restart CATIA. . SCENARIO: 0) Start CATIA. 1) Open the file: "T9270.CATProduct". Workbench: "Assembly Design". 2) Click "Part2.1(Part2.CATPart)" on the tree by MB3. 3) Select "Representations" > "Design Mode" by context menu. "Part2" is changed to design mode. 4) Expand "Part2(Part2.1)" on the tree. "Part2" is displayed on the tree. 5) Expand "Part2" on the tree. "External References" is displayed on the tree. 6) Expand "External References" on the tree. (Please confirm that "Lin.1" and "Sketch.1" are deactivation.) 7) Click "Part1.1(Part1.CATPart)" on the tree by MB3. 8) Select "Part1.1 object" > "Activate / Deactivate Component" by context menu. "Part1.1 (Part1.CATPart)" is changed to activation. "Lin.1" and "Sketch.1" of "External References" are not changed to activation. 9) Click "Part1.1(Part1.CATPart)" on the tree by MB3. 10) Select "Representations" > "Design Mode" by context menu. Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level. NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R17SP05. . Incident Diagnosis: The External References are not activated / deactivated in case of a pointed instance is activated / desactivated and is in Visu Mode. . Correction Explanation: The links on Publication are not resolved in this case. This is now corrected and result is as expected. . 517 .
