Error description

  • Cut function to remove a document under a folder
in Part Edit or not available
    .
    SCENARIO :
    Data preparation :
    1) In the Part Editor, create part TEST1234-001, all
    mandatory attributes valued
    2) In Content Management, create a folder
    TEST1234_FOLDER
    3) In the Content Management, create document
    TEST1234
4a) In Content Management, copy the folder
    TEST1234_FOLDER
4b) In Part Editor document tab, paste the folder
    TEST1234_FOLDER
    under the part TEST1234-001
5a) In Content Management, copy the document
    TEST1234
5b) In Part Editor document tab, paste the
    document TEST1234 into
    folder TEST1234_FOLDER
    6) Save in ENOVIA and remove all locks
    Problem :
    7) In the Part Editor, lock the folder
    TEST1234_FOLDER under part
    TEST1234-001
    8) With MB3, access Cut function to remove
    document TEST1234 under the
    folder
    .
RESULT : The Cut function is not available (grayed
    in contextual menu)
EXPECTED RESULT : Should be available in the
    Part Editor.
    .
INVESTIGATION BOARD : Same behavior in
    Product Editor.
Also, the cut function is always grayed (not
    available) in the
Document CATLet of Part Editor and Product Editor,
even to cut a document right under the Part.
The test was done on a vanilla environment with an
    ADMIN profile.
    .
    SEVERITY JUSTIFICATION : It's a regression from
    R14 sp6.
There is no way from the Part Editor or Product
editor to cut document from the folder under a
part. Many document are added to in these folders
as documentation of the part (Stress analysis
report, specifications, work authority, etc.) and the
entry point is the Part. This regression will have an
important impact on user acceptance of the
    solution
    .
