Error description

  • PART DESIGN / BACKGROUND COLOR CHANGES
    TO RED.
    .
    SCENARIO:
    1. Open CATPart.
    2. Go to Part Design work bench.
    3. Click Face-Face-Fillet icon.
    Face-Face Fillet Definition Dialog Box is displayed.
    4. Select the two faces
    5. Click OK.
    6. Error message is displayed.
    .
    OBSERVATION:
    The background becomes red.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The background should not become red and should
    have the original color.
    .

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA
    VERSION
    5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
    .
    Incident Diagnosis
    Whena Face-Face fillet is performed, the
    background becomes red.
    .
    This happens because a very large face is
    part of
    the Error Message. As it is red color, it looks
    like
    the backgroud has changed color to red.
    .
    Correction Explanation
    Removed faces which are not part of the
    part body
    from the error message.
    .
    Answer and By-Pass
    If a zoom out is performed the red plane
    can be
    seen ( and the background appears
    normal).
    .
    Additional information: This problem is also
    fixed
    on R17 SP04.
    .
