• CATIA DOES NOT LAUNCH IF UID IS GREATER
  THAN 4 DIGITS
  Scenario:
  CATIA Version: V425
  1.Problem is Specific to AIX OS only.
  2. Create a CATIA Administrator using
  Configure Installation
  Configure step-by-step
  Create / update administrator environment
  Administrator name : catadm
  Administrator ID : 123456789
  IMP : the Administrator ID should be more then 4
  digits. Problem does not occur id the UID is having
  4 or less digits.
  3. Log in using the Administrator name
  4. Start catia using catini -XM
  5 . At the initial screen, we hit Cold Start
  We then see the error in the bottom left
  getpwuid fails. check /etc/passwd
  5 - hitting YES again will cause catia to exit
  Additional Information: You can check
  using /etc/passwd file
  catadm:!:123456789:200::/home/catadm:/usr/bin/
  ksh <-- FAILS
  catadm:!:1234:200::/home/catadm:/usr/bin/ksh <-
  - WORKS.
