• OM: WARM START / CATIA ABENDS AFTER WARM
  START IS EXECUTED.
  .
  SETTINGS:
  1) Start CATIA V5R16SP5.
  2) Select the "Tools/Options" on menu bar.
  The "Options" panel is displayed.
  3) Select the "Options" / "General" in the tree.
  4) Click on "General" tab.
  5) Activate "Incremental backup". The "Warning"
  panel is displayed, and Click "OK" button.
  6) Click "OK" button on "Options" panel.
  7) End CATIA.

  SCENARIO:
  8) Again, start CATIA.
  9) Open the "H0270.CATPart" file. Workbench:
  GSD
  10) Click the "Sketch" icon.
  11) Click the "Plane.1" on tree. The "Workbench" is
  changed into "Sketcher".
  12) Click the "Project 3D Elements" icon.
  13) Use a "Section trap" and select
  a "Surface.1". "3D element (Surface.1) is
  projected.
  14) Click the "Exit workbench" icon. ABEND occurs.
  15) After "ABEND" occurs, start CATIA again.
  The "Warm-start" panel is displayed, Click "Yes"
  button. "Warm Start" process is started. ABEND
  occurs during "Warm Start" process. The model is
  not restored. This is a problem.

  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level AND ON
  V5R17SP03.

  Incident Diagnosis:
  An applicative crash causes warmstart
  data-recovering process to abend.
  .
  Reason:
  The applicative crash is solved now and not
  reproducible. Thus warmstart does not have to
  recover the data and do not crash. Even if we kill
  CATIA externally at that step, still data is
  recovered without abend.
