  1. Open the attached CATProcess.
  2. Expand the specification tree to machining
  operations.
  3. Under Setup.2 / CrashCuts / Roughing.2
  operation is defined.
  4. Unlock the operation, force compute the toolpath
  for this operation.
  5. Double click to open the definition window. Zig-
  zag toolpath style is selected for this operation.
  6. Click to replay the toolpath. Observe the Full
  video replay  for this operation.
  7. Tool path crash with part can be observed for
  this operation.
  8. Check the video replay with Helical tool path
  style, the reported crash is not observed.

• Incident Diagnosis :
  In a SMG-Roughing operation with Zig-Zag
  ToolPath Style, a collision with Stock occurs.
  .
  Correct Application :
  In Documentation, it's specified that in that case
  Part Contouring must be selected:
  .
  SMG...

  Roughing Parameters...
  Part Contouring...
  .
  "The tool that you are using and the part you are
  working on must be such that contouring the
  rough stock is superfluous."
  .
  In this case, zig-zag trajects between upper
  and lower plane cannot be synchronised. So
  without Part Contouring, tool may crash.
  .
  VERY IMPORTANT: You can also notice that this tool
  crash problem is SPECIFIC to ZIG-ZAG style. It
  doesn't occur in other ToolPath Style.
