ITEV5CV5 : CATIA Catalog Favourites : ENOVIA blackbox catalogs are KO in Favourites . . Scenario: 1- Launch CATIA, connect to ENOVIA with VPMNav 2- In CATIA, create a new catalog document Save the catalog document in ENOVIA (as "blackbox" catalog : default behaviour) 3- Close the catalog document in CATIA 4- In CATIA, go in Tools/Options/General/Document Make "ENOVIA" allowed in the Document Environments (to be able to query for ENOVIA documents in the DocChooser) 5- Go in Tools/Options/Infrastructure/Catalog Editor In the "Favourites" catalog list, add a new catalog favourite -In the DocChooser, select "ENOVIA" environment, do a query in ENOVIA and find the catalog that has been saved earlier. 6- Close the Options panel 7- Create a new CATProduct 8- Open the catalog browser 9- In the "Current" pull-down menu of the catalog browser, select the ENOVIA catalog . = ERROR : cannot open the ENOVIA catalog . .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 17 GA level. NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R16SP06. . The Object Modeler Services to open a file based catalog is not the same than the one to open a catalog in ENOVIA: File Base: we create a DocId to open the document from it. ENOVIA: it is mandatory to use an interop call to open the catalog from its PartName. .
