HD51248: WHEN USING TUBING DESIGN OR TUBING DIAGRAM AS SHAREABLE LICENSE THEN THE EXTENDED LANGUAGE LIBRARY "TUBING LAYOUT" DOESNT LOAD

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• SCENARIO:
  1. Settings in Tools Options, Load extended
  langauge library
  2. Start Catia V5
  3. Choose Tubing Design as Shareable License
  4. Start Tubing Design workbenche
  5. Choose Tools, Report Define
  Then find out that the Extended language library ?
  TubingLayout? is not
  loaded.
  .
  BYPASS:
  1) Set Load Extended language libraries to off in
  Tools-Options setting in the Parameters &
  Measures -------> Knowledgeware tab.
  2) Close CATIA.
  3) Start CATIA again
  4) Follow the steps to get "Tubing Design"
  sharable license
  5) Go to Tubing workbench.
  6) Following Edit-->Search. Click on tab
  page "Advanced". ( Note: This one should never be
  done before step 4. ie getting license)
  7) Select "Tubing Design" in Workbench combo
  box. ( Note: This will load KWE packages)
  8) Use Reporter and you will see TubingLayout
  packages.

Problem summary

• When using Tubing Design or Tubing Diagram as shareable license
  then the Extended Language Library "Tubing Layout" doesnt load

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5
  RELEASE 17 GA level.
  The correction forces the update of
  the "workbench" list when shareable products are
  granted or released.
  By-pass : Grant the licenses before start Search...
  command
  Correction limitation : types list must be reloaded
  when shareable products are granted or released.
