HD50654: MMG / UNABLE TO COMPUTE TOOLPATH IN R16

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• MMG / UNABLE TO COMPUTE TOOLPATH IN R16
  SCENARIO :
  1. The Part and Process used for this was created
  and locked in R14. This works as expected in R14.
  2. Start up R16 SP2.
  3. Open up the Process1.CATProcess and replay
  the locked Multi-Axis Curve Machining.1 MO.  The
  cutter moves as expected avoiding the check
  surface.
  4. Unlock Multi-Axis Curve Machining.1 MO and
  then open it up for editing.
  5. Switch to the Machining folder and switch the
  Tool path style from Zig zag to One way and then
  switch right back to Zig zag.
  6. Replay again. You will see that it no longer
  computes the cutter paths and instead displays the
  warning shown. There is no way to make this work
  in R16 SP2.
  This problem makes the Multi-Axis Curve
  machining function unusable if checks are required.

  Just unlock MO ,force-compute toolpath,It fails with
  same result

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 17 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R16SP04.
