• OPTIMIZATION IS NOT DONE ACCORDING TO THE
  INF AND SUP RANGES
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1. Open
  Pb_minimisation_resultats_diff_context.CATPart
  2. Change the Position of the free parameter
  (Plan.97) :
  set mesure section/ Plane.97/ offset = 200mm.
  3. Edit Optimizations.2 (Use defaults - Gradient
  Algorithm without constraints with Slow option)
  4. Click on Run Optimization.
  ==> the plane does not move between the INF and
  SUP ranges (This is problem)
  ==> on R14SP5, the parameter ''Section Total'' is
  925.8354 mm2. But on R16SP2, SectionTotal is
  1282.812mm2
  5. Change the Position of the free parameter
  (Plan.97) :
  set mesure section/ Plane.97/ offset = -45mm.
  6. Edit Optimizations.2
  7. Click on Run Optimization.
  ==>the plane does not move between the INF and
  SUP ranges (This is problem)
  ==> on R14SP5 & R16SP02 the
  parameter ''Section Total'' is 1430.6138 mm2

• Incident Diagnosis
  The optimization is mis-used. The goal of the
  optimization is to find the minimum of a function.
  The way to obtain this minimum IS NOT specified.
  In no mean it is to scan the entire varaibel domain.

  Correct Application
  Either to use the Simulated Annealing instead of
  the Gradient or run a DOE and extract the minimum
  from the generated design table (they should be a
  measure that allows to extract the min of a
  column).
