Error description

  • Problem:
    In the case of the slope of 3 degrees, Draft
    Analysis does not work correctly. By the "Draft
    Analysis" command, when the angle of a draft is
    three degrees or less, analysis is not performed
    correctly.
    .
    Scenario
    1. Start CATIAV5.
    2. Open Part1.CATPart.
    3. Check "Draft Angle".
    Draft.1=2.5deg
    Draft.2=2.0deg
    Draft.3=1.5deg
    Draft.4=1.0deg
    4. Select "Draft Analysis" icon.
    5. Select "Part Body" and set "Draft Analysis"
    panel.
    >>>Analysis is not performed correctly. This is
    trouble.
    .
    To click "inverse" is not a by-pass because it does
    not solve the problem at all.
    .
    Usually, it analyzes in many cases to the slope face
    of three degrees or less.
    .

    .
    Diagnosis Analysis:
    Draft Analysis is not performed correctly.
    .
    Explanation :
    The correction cannot be provided on this level
    However, you have to click the "on the fly" button
    on in the Draft Analysis panel: you can get the
    measure message in the geometry. If the
    word "inverse" displays, you have to clik the
    inverse button on in the Draft Analysis panel
    because geomterically, the main vector is normally
    orthogonal to the surface towards to outside (and
    not inside).
