HD33744: V4/V5 INTEGRATION: SPECIFIC CATIA V4 *CCVS CANNOT BE SELECTED

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• Scenario:
  1) Start CATIA V5 with new CATProduct
  2) Insert / Existing Component and select the V4
     model provided
  3) Select the two CCVs by creating a trap around
     them CCVs using the left mouse button
  -> The CCVs are not selected
  4) Include the axis system *AXS1 in the trap
  -> The CCVs are selected
  .
  Note:
  If the two CCVs are broken and then concatenated
  at CATIA V4 level using LIMIT1/BREAK and
  CONCATEN the resulting CCVs can be selected as
  required in CATIA V5
  .

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• It is not possible to select the CCVs using a trap at
  CATIA V5 level because the curves are corrupted.
  This problem is a permanent restriction.
  However, an enhancement to the CATIA V4 cleaner
  will be provided via HD36833 to correct the CCVs.
  .
