Comments
Incident Diagnosis : SpotPoint Creation ("On Point" location method) : Impossible to select a point in order to locate the fastener. . Correct Application : The selected point (blue point) does not belong to the BiW Joint linked parts. This kind of geometrical element is not valid to specify the location of Fasteners. This restriction is mentionned in Automotive Body In White Fastening documentation : "the selection of geometrical elements must be done within the linked parts, except when using such options as Datum mode and Explicit locations. " Note : With the "Explicit" location method, this point (blue point) can be selected, but only its coordinates are used. The user selected point is not kept. When the location method is switched to "On Point", there is no point selectionned as "Reference Point". This can be seen in the "More" panel associated to the location method. .
