HD33261: THE ELEMENT DOES NOT HIGHLIGHT AND CANNOT SELECT

Error description

• Point of problem :
  This problem is that when "Curve Filter" is clicked
  and clicked again, the element does not highlight
  and cannot select.
  .
  Process :
  0) Start CATIA V5R14
  1) Open the provided file : "CUST6672.CATPart".
  Workbench : "FreeStyle"
  2) Click "Curve Filter" icon.
  3) Select "Line.2" on the geometry area.
  =>"Line.2" can be highlighted and selected.

  4) Select "Line.2" on the tree.
  =>"Line.2" can be highlighted and selected.
  >>>This is right behavior.
  5) Click "Curve Filter" icon.
  6) Select "Line.2" on the geometry area.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA
  VERSION 5 RELEASE 15 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE
  FIXED ON V5R14SP05.
  .
  Incident Diagnosis :
  After deselecting a selection filter, selection
  is
  disabled : the next click will have no effect.
  Selection works again afterwards. The
  problem is
  setting independant.
  .
  Correction Explanation :
  When selection filter are modified the
  resulting
  filter list might be empty. In some cases
  this
  means that any element can be selected,
  in other
  cases this means that no element can be
  selected.
  This is controled by the _invalidFilter flag in
  CATPathElement.cpp that was badly
  positionned in
  the scenario of the APAR.
  .
  Answer and By-Pass :
  By-pass : click once in empty space after
  deselecting the filter to make things work
  correctly
  again.
  Anyway, the problem is fixed now.
