APAR status

Error description

  • DMUSPA : VARIATION ERROR.
    SCENARIO:
    1. Start CATIA.
    2. Select ᄄToolsᄄ, ᄄOptionsᄄ from menu bar.
    3. Select ᄄReset parametersᄄ button, ᄄResetᄄ
    window opens.
    4. Select ᄄfor all the tabpagesᄄ option.
    5. Select ᄄYesᄄ to close reset window and ᄄOKᄄ to
    reset all options to default.
    6. Open ᄄSample.CATProductᄄ.
    7. Change the workbench to ᄄDMU Space Analysisᄄ.
    8. Select the ᄄSectioningᄄ icon.
    9. Select the ᄄResultᄄ tab and then ᄄClash
    Detectionᄄ icon in the ᄄSectioning Definitionᄄ
    window.
    10.Select the ᄄEdit Position And Dimensionsᄄ button
    under the ᄄPositioningᄄ tab ᄄEdit Position and
    Dimensionsᄄ window appears.
    11.Set ᄄXᄄ in the ᄄOriginᄄ field to ᄄ0mmᄄ and click
    in the ᄄYᄄ field to activate change and then click
    in "Z" field. The ᄄSection.1ᄄ screen will be incorrect.
    .
    RESULT:On AIX, just after selecting the key in field
    of "Z",the two message windows appear. They are
    not shown on WinXP.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:The behavior of AIX and WinXP
    should be equal.

    3. Select ?Reset parameters? button, ?Reset?
    window opens.
    4. Select ?for all the tabpages? option.
    5. Select ?Yes? to close reset window and ?OK? to
    reset all options to default.
    6. Open ?Sample.CATProduct?.
    7. Change the workbench to ?DMU Space Analysis?.
    8. Select the ?Sectioning? icon.
    9. Select the ?Result? tab and then ?Clash
    Detection? icon in the ?Sectioning Definition?
    window.
    10.Select the ?Edit Position And Dimensions? button
    under the ?Positioning? tab ?Edit Position and
    Dimensions? window appears.
    11.Set ?X? in the ?Origin? field to ?0mm? and click
    in the ?Y? field to activate change and then click
    in "Z" field. The ?Section.1? screen will be incorrect.

    RESULT:On AIX, just after selecting the key in field

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA
    VERSION 5 RELEASE 15 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE
    FIXED ON V5R14SP02.

    Now the message boxes donot appear.
