Error description

  • After printing in TIFF format,
    CATDocumentServices::Remove of a CATDrawing
    takes too long.

    SCENARIO :
    --> Printer Setup
    - Launch CATIA
    - Select "File" - "Printer Setup" from menu.
    - Double-click "Add Printer" on the "Printers"
    dialog.
    - Click "3D PLM Printer" and select "OK" button on
    the "Add Printer Wizard" dialog.
    - Set the following properties on the "Printer
    Properties" dialog.
    .
    Name: tif
    Driver: Raster
    Landscape: On
    Declaration Default: On
    Execution Default: On
    Output File Name: c:\temp\tif.tif
    Queue Name: Fax
    .
    - Select "Advanced Configuration" button on the
    "Printer Properties" dialog.
    - Set the following properties on the "Advanced
    Configuration" dialog.
    .
    Format: TIFF-Tagged Image File Format (*.tif)
    Dpi: 400
    Compression: Fax Group 4
    .
    - Select "OK" button on the "Advanced
    Configuration" dialog.
    - Select "OK" button on the "Printer Properties"
    dialog.
    - Select "Cancel" button on the "Add Printer
    Wizard" dialog.
    - Select "OK" button on the "Printers" dialog.
    - Exit CATIA.

    - set CNEXTOUTPUT=console
    - Execute the test command with the following
    syntax: TestRemove.exe
    <full_path_of_provided_CATDrawing>
    ==> compare Document Remove values with
    Document Open values.

    If the print to a TIFF file section is skipped, the
    performance problem does not occur.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
    5 RELEASE 14 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R13SP02.

    Incident Diagnosis:
    While closure, some reps are destroyed one by one
    since it has not been destroyed before.
    .
    Correction Explanation:
    A mlk on reps was generated on print in batch
    mode when created the makeup rep.
    CATViewMakeUpVisu::BuildPrintRep.
    .
    Answer and By-Pass:
    None.
