• Abstract:
  FILE / SAVE AS / WRL : CATIA ABENDS AFTER FILE
  SAVE AS WRL USING VRML 1.0 OPTION
  
  Scenario:
  Please refer 'CUST4175.ppt' sent
  
  Summary of problem:
  After 'CUST4175.CATPart' is saved in 'wrl' file type
  with 'VRML 1.0' option activated, any operation will
  cause CATIA abend.
  
  Reproduction:
  0. Delete all setting files in CATSetting directory of
  CATIA V5R11SP2.
  1. Start CATIA V5R11SP2.
  2. Open the file : 'CUST4175.CATPart'.
  Workbench : 'GSD'.
  3. Select Tools -- Options... command.
  -- Options dialog box appears.
  4. Choose Compatibility from General category.
  5. Select VRML tab in Compatibility sub-category.
  6. Check the radio button of 'VRML1.0'.
  7. Click OK to validate the current setting.
  8. Choose File -- save as ... command from menu
  bar.
  -- Save as dialog box appears.
  9. Save the file as 'CUST4175.wrl' in 'wrl' file type.
  10. Click Tools -- Options... command.
  
  Result:
  -- Catia is abend. This is the problem.
  -- This error is not reproduced every time, but it
  can be reproduced within 3-5 times.
  -- If it has not occurred this time, perform the
  following operation:
  11. Click File -- Exit command to close Catia.
  12. Repeat operation Step2-Step10.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 14 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R13SP01
  AND V5R12SP05.
  CATIA does not abend anymore on above written
  levels with given scenario.
