Error description

  • Abstract: PRODSTRU : COMPASS FAILS TO SNAP
    TO PARTS AFTER CHANGING REPRESENTATION
    MODE.
    Description:
    1.Open file DE58957.CATProduct.
    2.Select the red square of the compass with mouse
    button one, continue to press MB1 while dragging
    the cursor over to any edge of Compass1.1,then
    release MB1.
    3.In the specification tree, select CATPart
    Compass2.1, then select the vy plane of the
    compass with MB1, continue to press MB1 while
    dragging the cursor around the screen. CATPart
    Compass2.1 follows the compass around on the
    screen.
    4.In the specification tree, doubleclick Compass1.1
    and Compass2.1 to bring both parts into design
    mode.
     5.Repeat steps 2 to 3.
    .
    Result:The compass does NOT turn green and
    neither CATpart moves around the screen while
    dragging the cursor.

    If you do not click the root Product in order to
    make it active, the compass does not turn green
    when you move and place it on any part under the
    product and the part cannot be manipulated.
    and in Product Structure/Basic Task/Moving the
    Components of a Sub-Product in the Parent
    Product:
    Note that if chain (chain.1) is UI-Active , you
    cannot move chain from Articulation. You can move
    the "sons" of the UI-Active object and not the
    object itself (the UI-Active "father"). You cannot
    move an object respect to itself.
