HD08465: THE LINK OF PUBLICATION IS BROKEN BY THE CATPART REPLACE

Error description

• Activated options:
  (Tools/Options/Infrastructure/Product
  Structure/Cache Management tab/Cache Activation/
  "Work with the cache system")
  =>activate
  (Tools/Options/Infrastructure/Part
  Infrastructure/General tab/Update /"Manual")
  =>activate.

  1. Open specific CATProduct
  2. Double
  Click "Part2.1<CUST3356_part2.CATPart>".
  -> "Part2.1<CUST3356_part2.CATPart>"  Change
  to "Design mode".
  3. Click "Part1.1<CUST3356_Part1.CATPart>" and
  click MB3.
  ->Context Menu is
  displayed
  4. Select "Replace Component".
  5.Open "CUST3356_Part1_a.CATPart".
  -> "Impacts ON Replace" panel is displayed.
  6. Set a radio button to "YES" and click "OK"
  button.
  -> Update Status by Part2
  -> Warning is displayed.
  
  "Impossible to synchronize : the element, from
  which the external reference Line.1 is created, is
  missing".
  7. Click "Close" button.
  8. Double Click "Part1(Part1.1)".
  -> "Part1(Part1.1)" Change to "Design mode".
  -> The link of Publication is broken by the CATPart
  Replace.

  Reason :
  1. The geometry of "Part2/External References/
  Line.1(..!Part1.1!Line.1)" and the geometry
  of "Part1/Open body.1/Line.1" should be linked.
  But, the link of Publication is broken and geometry
  is different.
  2. The link of Publication is OK by tree icon
  and "Parent Children".
  
  
  Expected result :
  Publication link should be in the state where it is

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 13 GA lev
  el.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R11SP05 and V5R1
  2SP01.
  With this correction, after replacing component , update is req
  uested . Then Part1.a will be AUTOMATICALLY  switched in design
   mode in order to synchronize external references.
