HD02041: DOCUMENTATION INSTALLATION PATH CANNOT START JAPANESE ONLINE MANUAL ON CATIA OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1. Install CATIA on Win2000 Japanese OS
    2. Install CATIA Documentation on same station
    3  Start CATIA V5 with Japanese language
       (Tools / Customize...
       > Options > Environment language (default)
    4. Configure Documentation access path
    5. Push "F1" key on keyboard
    --> Start Japanese Online Manual normally
    6. Close CATIA V5 and Manual
    7. Start CATIA V5 with English language
    8. Push "F1" key on keyboard
    ===> "Doc installation path" window appeared
         If selected directory which include Japanese
         Online Manual,
         "No correct CATIA V5 documentation file tree was found
         in this directory" massage appeared.
    .
    Remark:
     - This problem occurred "CATIA V5 with English language"
       +
       "Japanese Online Manual".
     - If "English Online Manual", start it correctly on both
    language.

  • THIS APAR IS CONSIDERED AS A SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT FOR
    CATIA.
    .
     On a Japanese Operating system, it is not possible to
    access to a installed Japanese documentation when CATIA is
    using English language.
    
     Today the documentation is searched in the OS session
    language If it is not found the english documentation is
    searched.
    .
     In R12 it will be possible to choose the documentation
    language as it is possible today to choose the language of
    the CATIA interface in Tools / Customize.
