  Please confirm the "Plane" icon, it is not active.
  It should be activated because it can be selected.

  Click the "Geometrical Element" icon.
  Click the "Offset" icon.

Local fix

Problem summary

• INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  In Intersection command, Line and Plane icons are not enable
  in acquisition filter toolbar.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA V5R10 & v5R9
  
  This closure has a PER part in fact, because now icons are now
   enable when command is called in V5R9SP4 & V5R10.
  But a problem remains:
  if Line icon is deactivated by user, he is still able to
  select a line thanks to curve filter.
  
  For the moment, acquistion filter does not work as expected
  by cutsomer because curve and surface icons are not able
  to make distinction between canonical features & others
  depending on Line / plane icons activations.
  This topic will be fixed with V5R11 it is in the cutomer code
  plan delivery.
