HC91034: NEW TOOLBARS ARE LOST, AND WORKBENCH CAN NOT BE DELETED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Scenario 1 (V5R7 SP5 Win2000):
  After creating a new workbench and toolbar by
  Tools/Customize, it works for a while. But suddenly, the
  toolbar is lost, and the workbench can not be deleted or
  renamed.
  
  1. create a New workbench(Tools/Customize/UserWorkbench/New)
     and give the name Test
  2. Select Toolbars tab and "New" and give name "test-t"
  3. Add commands in the toolbar (sel "Add Commands.." botton)
  and select some command ==> New Toolbar is created.
  4. Close "Customize" window
  5. Exit CATIA ==> CATSettings are updated.
     (Check it by time)
  After using the workbench and toolbar, and exit/start CATIA
  several times, the CATSettings are updated and the
  toolbar is lost.
  But the workbench is remained. Strangely, this workbench
  is now not deleted, nor renamed (Tools/Customize/User
  Workbench: See Delete/Rename buttons are dimmed.)
  
  Scenario 2 (V5R7 SP6 NT4):
  1. File / New Part
  2. Tools / Customize :
     - User Workbenches / NEW
       Insert a name (example Work1) / OK
     - Toolbars / New
       Insert a name (example Tool1)
       Select a function to add at new toolbar / OK
  3. Close the Customize's windows
  4. Close Catia
  5. Reopen Catia
  6. Go in the workbench "Work1"
  ---> The new toolbar (Tool1) missing
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A User workbench is empty and canot be deleted.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level.
  
  Information stored in customer setting FrameConfig.CATSettings
  was invalid.
  Code has been modified to force deletion anyway.
