INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS : Split direction is inverted after a replace component in the Product. TECHNICAL EXPLANATION : Split is a children of an intersection curve. Because this intersection is made between two tangent surfaces, there is an instability.

THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON : CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 7 . THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON : CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level AND ON V5R8SP01 ANSWER: The good methodology is to change the design and avoid that kind of configuration (Intersection between two tangent surfaces). The correction cannot be delivered at V5R7 level.
