HC89185: TRYING TO START MKMK VIA THE MKMK MENU ITEM FAILS WITH MESSAGE: CAACOMMANDMANAGER CAACMD MNGR.EXE ERROR APPLICATION

Error description

• Environment:
  Windows 2000
    Visual C++ 6.0 profesional ServicePack 3
    CATIA V5 R7 SP3 - CATIA CAA API V5 R7 SP3 - CAA RADE V5 R7 SP3
  
  Problem in the CAA environment - the following error occurs:
    "In a already opened workspace it was tried to start mkmk via
    mkmk menupoint under the menupoint 'Erstellen'."
  
  Then the following error occurs:
    -1/1 CAACommandManager: CAACMD MNGR.exe - Application error
    The instruction at "0X00401F2D" referenced memory at
    "0X00000020".
    The memory could not be read.
    Click OK to terminate the programm or Cancel to debug it.
  
  In the launching windows comes: Tool-return code -1073741819
  
  Additional information:
  * The problem did not occur at 507 GA level.
  * Same problem exists at V5 R7 SP4 level.
  * It is fully reproducible.
  * mkmk can be started in a command shell window and it runs.
  * It seems not to occur on Windows NT 4.0, but it is reproduced
    on Windows 2000.
  
  Circumvention:
  If the user replaces the "CAACMD MNGR.exe" module of SP3/SP4
  with the one from GA, it works.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The CAA Command Manager to launch compilation (mkmk) fails on
  Version 5 Release 7 SP2 and SP3.
