Error description

  • Description :
    For some assembly, a view of 'Plan' object, generate a CATIA
    error. CATI
    don't find all 3D files. If you take a look on work
    directory, you see
    that SmarTeam don't copy all needed files.

    Good behaviour :
    -Run CATIA.
    -Connect to TeamPDM with joe login.
    -Delete all view directory files.
    -Search this object : {'Numiro'==' UFN16642BD' and
    'revision'==' a.12'}
    -Open with 'view' function his 'Plan' (PLAN-000819), by
    'view'
    contextual menu on 'Plan' object.
    - SmarTeam copy all needed files (CATPart, CATProduct,
    CATDrawing,
    CATMaterial) and CATIA load CATDrawing without error
    messages.

    Bad behaviour :
    -Run CATIA.
    - Connect to TeamPDM with joe login.
    - Delete all view directory files.
    - Search this object : {'Numiro'==' UFN16745BJ' and
    'revision'==' a'}
    - Open with 'view' function his 'Plan' (PLAN-000512), by
    'view'
    contextual menu on 'Plan' object.
    - SmarTeam copy files (only CATProduct assembly head and
    CATDrawing) and
    CATIA load CATDrawing with an error message.
    Problem :
    For some assembly, SmarTeam do not copy all needed CATIA
    files, when
    you open by 'view' a 'Plan'.

Local fix

Problem summary

  •  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
    For this assembly Catia don't find some files

     REASON:
    For this assembly the links are not well defined in the database
    and that's why Catia don't find some files. We recreated a good
    structure manually and now all the operations of the scenario
    are well performed: Tpdm/save,TeamPDM/Release and FileOperation/

    You should check your original structure of this assembly and
     especially the type of links (hierarchical or logical) . The
     part-part link has to be hierarchical. Check you have the
     following structure:
