HC77763: SSS1 AND ROM1 FONTS CANNOT BE BOLD FOR DIMENSIONS.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1. FILE / OPEN the CATDrawing.
    2. There are two linear dimensions. One is drawing with
    font        SSS1 and the other one is drawing with ROM1.
       Both dimension font is set to be BOLD. But visually it
    is        STILL thin.
    3. When physically output to printing, it is seen as THIN
    as        well.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  •  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
    Bold graphism does not work with the stroke fonts (for example
    ROM1 and SSS1)
    

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
      CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 7 GA level.
    
     TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE CORRECTION:
    Thickness was not taken into account for bold graphism.
    
     ANSWER AND POSSIBLE BY-PASS:
    This problem has been corrected on V5R7 ga.
