HC46253: SKIN / FEATURE / SKIN / SWEEP / ANGLE OR LIMIT : CREATED SWEEPS ARE SHORTER THAN THE SUPPORTED SURFACE (LONG ENOUGH LIMIT CRV)

Error description

• Problem Description:
  1. SKIN/FEATURE/SKIN/SWEEP/LIMIT
  2. Select a limit curve
  3. Select a surface for the tangency
  --> SWEEP ONE LIMIT COMMAND panel is displayed
  4. Click on LIMITED RULED SWEEP
  OR
  4. Click on LIMITED CIRCULAR SWEEP, key in a radius
  --> In both cases, the sweep is shorter than the supported
  surface although the limit curve is long enough.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The created SWEEP/LIMIT is too short.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 4 RELEASE 2.1 REFRESH 1 GA level  (FREL421R1)
  
  Spine was relimited by the projection of center curve boundaries
  This internal relimitation was wrong.
  .
  There is no relimtation anymore, because it is useless for this
  type of SWEEP.
  
   ANSWER AND POSSIBLE BY-PASS:
  By-pass: make the spine relimitation manually.
  1) Create Center curve boundaries (SKIN/POINT/BOUNDARY)
  2) Project the 2 points on Spine (SKIN/POINT/PROJECT)
  3) Spine relimitation by projected points (SKIN/OPERATION/TRIM)
  4) The created SWEEP with this Spine is OK.
