Error description
When dimensionning a radius with DIMENS2/CREATE/RADIUS/CIR CNT on the section view of a revolution cylinder, the radius is displayed at the opposite side of the view.
Local fix
Problem summary
INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS: DIMENS2/CREATE/RADIUS/CIR CNT creates the radius at wrong location
Problem conclusion
TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE RESTRICTION: The location of the radius depends of the curves resulting from the intersection between the cutting plane and the fillet surface. In this case, there is only one curve solution (instead of two expected by the user), and it is not the 'good' one (the nearest from the selected point). Why there is only one solution ? Because, the plane does not cut totally the surface. The boundary of the surface is at a distance greater than the tolerance used in the intersection plane/surface algorithm. (you can see it using analysis/relative function). The distance is more than 5*tol2. And the tolerance used in the algorithm is tol2 (i.e intersec- tion projection tolerance in the standard/model function). We cannot modify this tolerance without any regression. BY-PASS: Make a little rotation of the solid in order that the plane does not cut the surface on the boundary.
Temporary fix
