Problem

Error desription: The specified network resource or device is no longer available.

Cause

ANS9999E ntrc.cpp(928): Received Win32 RC 55 (0x00000037) from GetDevIoVolInfo(): from call to psGetDevIoHandle() for volume '\\.\B:'.
Error desription: The specified network resource or device is no longer available.
In the Windows return codes, the following is the text for RC 55:
55 The specified network resource or device is no longer available. ERROR_DEV_NOT_EXIST

At some point the client machine had access to drive B:, and during a client backup session files got backed up off a disk that was in the B: drive.

When the drive was removed from the client machine, the error above occurred.

Resolving The Problem


Exclude drive B: from backup.
