ANS9365E VMware vStorage API error. API return code : 60

Troubleshooting


Problem

A full VM backup of 32bit Windows OS runs with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments. The backup fails with the ANS9365E error and API return code 60.

Symptom

The following errors are logged in the dsmerror.log of the client :

Cause

Timeout may occur due to lack of memory resource in VM guest OS if memory size is small size such as 2GB.

Resolving The Problem

The one of this error message's root cause is shortage of memory size in VM guest OS.

Please increase the memory size in VM guest OS.
