Troubleshooting


Problem

ANS4191E and ANS9365E - The restore virtual machine operation failed using 'san' transport mode. In some cases switching from SAN to network-based (NBD) virtual machine restores will be successful. Modify the transport option VMVSTORTRANSPORT to exclude SAN and include NBD or NBDSSL. VMVSTORTRANSPORT "NBD"

Symptom

The following errors are logged in the error log (dsmerror.log) when the failure occurs
