ANS1592E (RC-362) Failed to initialize SSL protocol

Troubleshooting

Problem

If a server's default certificate changes or the client certificate store gets corrupted it may be necessary to recreate the client's certificate store and manually import the server certificate.
One of the symptoms seen on the client side can be the following error message:
ANS1592E (RC-362) Failed to initialize SSL protocol.
This issue can also affect other products using the API such as IBM Spectrum Protect Data Protection products (for example IBM Spectrum Protect for ERP - Data Protection for SAP HANA) or custom developed applications.
