Cause

Resolving The Problem

IWR Data Store needs to be recreated.
Here is a document that can been followed to recreate the IWR data store. I will continue to research on performing this task via terminal services.

1. Stop all Impromptu Web Reports services.

Impromptu Web Service Manager
Impromptu Web Com Service
Cognos Communication Service

2. Delete the data store (.db) files. (recommends copying the .db files and moving them to another drive and/or directory)

iwr.db
iwrig.db
iwrjob.db
iwrmsg.db
iwrsm.db

The default location is \Program Files\Cognos\cer1\Database.

3. Delete any published report sets.
Before recreating the data store, delete all published report sets.

4. Run IWCreateDB to recreate the data store
Use the IWCreateDB command to recreate the data store.

a) Open a command prompt window and navigate to the bin folder. The default location is \Program Files\Cognos\cer1\bin.
b) Type IWCreateDB
Optionally, the following parameters can also be used:
For example, IWCreateDB -all -p8111 -nIWRNamespace
Note: Do not use spaces between the parameters and their values.
c) Close the command prompt window.

-p <port number> Use this if the default port 8020 was not specified when IWR was installed.
-n <namespace> Use this if the Default namespace was not specified when IWR was installed.

5. Register all report and request dispatchers.
After the data store is recreated, register the report and request dispatchers on each computer in the server group.

a) Open a command prompt window, and navigate to the \Program Files\Cognos\cer1\bin folder.
b) Type iwiwrdisp -register and press Enter to register report dispatcher.
c) Type iwirsdisp -register and press Enter to register request dispatcher.
d) Close the command prompt window.

6. Restart the Impromptu Web Report services.
Impromptu Web Service Manager
