Sterling TMS alertsprovide the following features:

• Each shipper and carrier organization can decide which alertsit wants to receive. Carriers are not limited to receiving alertsthat their shippers use.
• Shipper and carrier users can subscribe to their own alerts.
• Users can choose to have alerts delivered as emails. They canalso view alerts on many pages in Execution Freight Payment andContract Management.
• When users subscribe to alerts they can define filters to customizeand limit the alerts they receive. For example a shipper user onlywants to receive alerts for deliveries to a key customer. A carrieruser only wants to receive alerts for shipments being picked up anddelivered in certain areas.
• The shipper administrator can configure thresholds and tolerancesthat control when Sterling TMS sendsalerts. For example a shipper only wants to receive alerts if theshipment departs from the origin at least four hours after the planneddeparture.
• Shippers and carriers can add manual alerts to individual shipmentsorders contracts or invoices. For example the shipper adds an alertto a shipment to show that the freight needs special handling. Userscan subscribe to receive emails when their shipper or carrier addsone of these manual alerts.
• After shippers and carriers view an alert and deal with the issuethey can remove the alert for all users in their organization.
• Shippers can attach a tracer toa single shipment. A tracer is a special type of alert that a shipperuser can attach to an order or shipment in Execution. For examplea shipper can receive an email alert for a tracer when the ShipmentStatus is changed to Loaded or Ready to Ship.
