Problem
This technote details a known issue that stops the IBM® Rational® ClearCase® ALBD service from being installed, along with instructions to resolve the problem.
Symptom
After installing ClearCase on a client to support local VOBs and views, the Atria Location Broker Daemon (ALBD) is not installed.
SYMPTOMS:
- The ALBD shows as not available although the Lock Manager is installed.
- A manual uninstall and reinstall does not resolve the issue.
- ClearCase Doctor reports that ClearCase is not running on this machine.
