AED6 and EDF ERROR: ?LD TAB IN RMINT when using CEDF

Troubleshooting

Problem

When you try to run a CICS transaction with CEDF turned on you receive message: EDF ERROR: ?LD TAB IN RMINIT AT X'nnnnnnnn'. DSA: X'nnnnnnnn'. Then when you clear this message from the screen, you receive message: ABEND AED6 IN EDF: EDF SESSION TERMINATED. HIT CLEAR TO CONTINUE.

Symptom

Cause

Command-language table, DFHEITAB, was not available to the CICS region.

Resolving The Problem

Ensure that DFHEITAB and DFHEITBS are in either SDFHLOAD or SDFHLPA. If you have used DFH$UMOD to move them into SDFHLPA, set the USELPACOPY option of their program definitions to YES and the SIT parameter LPA to YES. Otherwise, include the library that contains these modules in the RPL concatenation of the JCL for your CICS region.
