Detailed System Requirements
Abstract
This article explains how to check if the Oracle ADVANCED compression capability will be used with a Case History store.
Content
The Case History store can be created using the IBM Case Manager Administration Client.
If the Case History store is configured to use an Oracle database and the Oracle server has ADVANCED compression enabled, the Case History store will be created with ADVANCED compression.
If the Oracle server doesn't support ADVANCED compression or this option is not enabled on the Oracle server, the Case History store is created with BASIC compression.
Use the following query to check if ADVANCED compression is supported and enabled on the Oracle server:
SELECT VALUE FROM V$Option WHERE UPPER(PARAMETER) = 'ADVANCED COMPRESSION'
Notes:
- Additional Oracle licenses might be required to use ADVANCED compression.
- To create a Case History store with BASIC compression, ensure the Oracle ADVANCED Compression option is disabled.
